Omg - ALL THE THINGS! 🩷 Sometimes I can’t believe Omg - ALL THE THINGS! 🩷 Sometimes I can’t believe this is MY cozy life. Something very special (to me) is going RIGHT THERE… Eeeeek!! (so excited)
January 26 for the past 6 years has been one of th January 26 for the past 6 years has been one of the hardest days I have ever lived through. It has been a day of darkness and horror, filled with a wild howling deep within my soul, full of sadness and questions. Every breath I took after that day took me farther and farther away from your last breath here. I have dreaded the 26th of January. But this year - year 7 (it feels so strange to say it has been 7 years!!) I decided to create something new - something to celebrate. And so I did. Isn’t it said that we change and become someone completely new from the inside out every 7 years? I know I will see you again - and I want to have many happy things to share with you when I do! I love you a bushel and a peck and forever and ever my sweet, beautiful boy. Love,”Mamadukes”🩷xo
We are getting things ready for the snow and ice - We are getting things ready for the snow and ice - mainly for the outdoor feral kitties and I noticed the creek was frozen over (it was 11* 🥶 this morning!!) I have never seen the creek frozen over. Thank goodness we have heated houses and blankets for all those babies 🏠- and the raccoons and possums that show up, too! Half of them come into the garage, which Mark has set up with lots more heated houses, blankets, a heater and shelves lined with blankets that the raccoons actually like sleeping on. Out back he has more heated houses, an “apart-tent” of pallets covered with a tarp and full if blankets and straw and an actual little pop up tent set up full of warm blankets - we have a few very shy ones that ride these snowy days out in the little tent. He is truly the cat whisperer! AND I made biscuits made from my Grandma Ruby’s recipe and had some with my daughter’s Huckleberry Preserves - YUM!! (for us - not the kitties) Also, made sure I have my wine - one cannot get through a snow storm without one’s box of wine! I am not called the “Drunken Nana” for nothing! 😂😂 Just kidding (sort of) Everyone stay warm! ❄️☃️ xo🩷
“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight!” We finally g “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight!” We finally got a sunny, balmy day today after days and days (or so it felt!) of gloom. 🥰 And you can see some of the “runways” the feral kitties use when they come in for meals and a warm kitty house/heated blanket overnight. 🩷xo
What is that old sailor proverb? Red sky at mornin What is that old sailor proverb? Red sky at morning, sailor take warning? We have had so many cloudy days lately. As soon as the sun comes up it is covered. I really miss the sun this time of year! And it has been so cold! It makes being inside my cozy house feel even cozier. Hope you all are warm and toasty!
